Our app connects gig workers with personalized loans and offers from the largest banks and institutions in the region. Together, we are helping banks better serve this niche and simultaneously helping gig workers improve their financial security.
The Role
Bankuish is looking for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to work hand in hand with the engineering team to create systems that are more efficient, have higher performance, and have more consistent delivery.
You will be responsible for building out a cloud infrastructure that supports business and technical requirements, and improving scalability, availability, and efficiency across our build and deployment pipeline.
You will build and maintain the Bankuish DevOps stack including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud and application monitoring, and security.
The role will require hands-on experience with GCP and distributed, serverless architectures.

How we Work
At Bankuish we are fully remote and widely dispersed, working from our own homes and neighborhoods across the world. We still prefer to collaborate and communicate in real-time.
Required Skills:
- A deep understanding of GCP architecture and enterprise experience running GCP solutions
- Knowledge of Infrastructure in Cloud (VPC, Cloud Armor, CDN, etc)
- Knowledge of creating scripts, at least using one of these (Shell Script, Python, Golang , etc)
- Experience operating and optimizing user-facing backend services in containerized environments (IE: Docker, AWS ECS, GKE Standard, GKE Autopilot, Cloud Run)
- Previous experience with provisioning and configuration management using Terraform
- Proficient with CI/CD software such as Gitlab
- Test automation of CI/CD
- Proficient with automated environment provisioning and configurations (Terraform, Ansible , Vault, etc)
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience in financial services a plus
- Knowledge of Istio or Anthos a plus
- Knowledge of monitoring resources with Prometheus and Grafana a plus
- Spanish/English and/or Portuguese fluency is not a requirement, but helps
- Previous startup experience
- Experience writing software using Golang a plus
- Experience setting up and maintaining databases and using SQL a plus
